JUST HOLD ON
You will NEVER be able to experience pain beyond your ability to love. NEVER! One time I asked the Lord to give me a heart of love like He had, so I can love like He does. He replied, “You have asked a hard thing!” He did not say he would answer that prayer, I am not claiming that I can love like that.
I was in so much pain, alone and tears streaming uncontrollably down my face, while praying. The pain was beyond description, and my heart was shattered beyond recognition. I felt like Humpty Dumpty, in the nursery rhyme: (Humpty Dumpty was a raw egg).This is the rhyme, for those who don’t know:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the kings horses and all the kings men
Couldn’t put Humpty back together again.
That was me. No one had the power or ability to put me back together again, and tears were flowing because of my broken, shattered heart. Then GOD asked me, “What is greater, your love or your pain?”
I could not answer, because the pain was tremendous. But in a few minutes later, I finally answered, “My love is greater.” He replied, “Well spoken. Your love is greater than your pain, because I have placed MY LOVE in your heart. Your love will be rejected, abused, used, and will never be understood, but you will STILL LOVE.
That is hard.
Did I write this for sympathy? Absolutely not. I am sharing this for all of you who have a broken heart, broken dreams, broken life. You are in such pain that you wonder if you will ever recover. You can hardly handle the pain and your tears are falling like the rain. You feel all alone, with not one person to stand by your side, one person to console you, one person to care for your soul, and no one to comfort you. There is no support or understanding as you weep uncontrollably.
I am hear to tell you that your pain you feel can never be greater than your love. JESUS was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrow, acquainted with grief. Out of 12 disciples, one betrayed him and one denied him after cursing, and one doubted him.
But GOD commended His LOVE toward us in that while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us. HIS LOVE is greater than HIS PAIN.
The love you feel is causing you pain, rejection, trauma, heartache like never before, but the GOOD news is that you are NOT alone, ever. JESUS is there to comfort you, heal you and He cares and understands. He is with you always and you will again smile, you will again laugh, and you will come through this trying of your faith with a mended heart and life, and with great victory.
Just HOLD ON! HOLD ON! Though weeping may endure through a night, JOY COMES IN THE MORNING! THE MORNING will break. Light will come. JUST HOLD ON!
